We’ve outlined some of the best Flaming Gorge Country trails to keep you on two wheels this summer:

Scenic Rides

Get a great view of Wyoming from the Utah side of Lake Flaming Gorge, and test out the moderate-level Dowd Mountain Trail. Experience single or double track trails, impressive scenery and an amazing overlook.

If you’re looking for an amazing ride through the wildflowers, take the East Park Loop through Ashley National Forest in the Uinta Mountains. Although beautiful, this is a long ride meant for moderate to advanced riders prepared to bike for three to four hours.

Leisurely Trails

King’s Point trail follows a plateau above the Green River through the Browns Park area, and it offers outstanding views, a variety of flora and fauna, and plenty of solitude. This eight-mile loop is perfect for new riders or those looking to slow down the pace.

If you’re looking for a route with a story, meander along the Swett Ranch trail. This easy to moderate trail follows double track roads and offers views of meadows full of wildflowers, scenic vistas of Lake Flaming Gorge and spectacular views of Baretop Mountain. It also passes through the Historic Swett Ranch, offering a glimpse of pioneer life from the area.

Advanced Terrain

Head over to the Utah side of Flaming Gorge for the four-mile Bassett Springs Loop. With steep, rocky downhills and outstanding views, you won’t want to miss this challenge.

For an advanced ride that is three to four hours of wildlife and scenery, take the Browns Park Trail over the Green River and through the Browns State Waterfowl Management area and Wildlife Refuge.
