Flaming Gorge Days – June 23-25 – Green River

Flaming Gorge Days kicks off the official start to summer, Sweetwater County style. This festival has been held since 1977. Events include golf, dodge ball, horseshoes, volleyball and basketball tournaments, a festival in the park, evening concerts, children's entertainment, a parade and much more. 

International Day – July 9 – Rock Springs

This event – the only ethnic festival of its kind in Wyoming – celebrates the diverse heritage of Rock Springs, which is nicknamed the “Home of 56 Nationalities.” The celebration is held in Bunning Park in historic downtown Rock Springs and includes ethnic entertainment, kid’s activities, exhibits, unique vendors, food booths and over 20 imported draft beers from around the world.

Wyoming's Big Show – July 31-Aug.7 – Sweetwater Events Complex, Rock Springs

This year’s theme is “Country, Rock and Livestock.” Wyoming’s Big Show draws attendees from hundreds of miles to Sweetwater County. The Big Show delivers on fun with rodeo action, family-friendly carnival rides, a variety of delicious dining options, 4-H and livestock exhibitions and evening concerts featuring big-name headliners like Josh Turner and Chris Janson.

Sweetwater Blues n' Brews Festival – Aug. 13 – Rock Springs

What do you get when you combine national blues bands with local and regional breweries? One tasty, toe-tapping good time! The Blues n’ Brews Festival is held in Downtown Rock Springs, a.k.a. the best blues bar in the West. Admission is just $5, and beer tickets are $5 each or five tickets for $20. This year’s entertainment includes the Harlis Sweetwater Band, Jeff Jensen, The Chris O’Leary Band, The Andy T-Nick Nixon Band and David Gerald.  

River Festival – Aug. 14-15 – Green River

Hosted at Green River’s Expedition Island, this weekend is jam packed with fun! It starts Friday night with the Shrimp Boil. Kids games, adult games, music, a car show and fireworks are also on tap during the weekend. Decide to compete in the annual “Run with the Horses Marathon," or simply show up to cheer on the runners and horses.
