No matter when you visit Sweetwater County, it’s likely that you’ll work up an appetite exploring our 10,500 square miles of pure desert adventure. Lucky for you, we have lots of great places to refuel!

Bitter Creek Brewing is a local’s favorite. Established in 1997, the brewpub is tucked into the historic Downtown Rock Springs (604 Broadway St.).

Bitter Creek serves up some legendary microbrews and a delectable menu of dishes created from the finest ingredients. The atmosphere is casual and family-friendly, and the service is superb!

The microbrews are seasonal and include Coal Porter, the winter dark beer that gets a slight roasted flavor from “chocolate” malt. Red Desert Ale is a red-colored ale that contains a complex malt bill and has been dry-hopped to enhance the floral aroma. Sweetwater Wheat is a good choice when it’s warm.

The food menu boasts everything from your standard bar fare to more creative cuisine. Burgers, chicken wings, Thai chicken nachos, Cajun shrimp and andouille sausage pasta, and a Cajun pork chop are just a few of the options. There are also monthly lunch specials.

Bitter Creek Brewing is open Monday-Saturday from 11 a.m.-9 p.m.
