Located on the Flaming Gorge Reservoir at 6000', this area is representative of a high desert community. The landscape is mainly sagebrush; temperatures can fluctuate from warm days to cool nights. Four group sites are also available only by reservation. These group sites are accessed by walking about 200 feet from a gravel parking lot. Access is difficult for wheel-chair bound persons. Family sites have a cabana, picnic table, grill, and fire ring. The group sites also have a pavilion and tent pads. The campground has a boat ramp, dump station, potable water, and flush toilets. No lifeguard on duty. Site access is in good condition on a gravel road. Those using the Group Sites will need to walk/ carry gear approximately 200 yards from the parking areas to reach the sites.
