Looking for a hometown festival with great food and lots of activities? Seek out the River Festival in Green River.
The event kicks off Friday with a Cajun Shrimp Boil that sells out to 750 every year! Throughout the evening enjoy a free concert by the Fireants, the Great Duck Race, photo contest, FREE kids games, and a fireworks show over the river. Saturday starts with the Run with the Horses Marathon across the Pilot Butte Wild Horse Loop Tour road. Runners often share the 26.2 mile marathon with wild horses. The event also includes a ½ Marathon Race, 10 K run, the “Lucky 13” Horse Poker Run, Sweetwater County Photo Contest, FREE Kids Games, a Brew Fest, Dog Shows/ Competitions, food vendors and an “Old Fashion Watermelon Eating Contest.”
